‎Alan Thomas‎ to (the Facebook page) GROWING UP IN ST.IVES DURING 1900 -1970 May 18 at 12:30 PM It is with sadness that I bring news of the passing of Norman Noall, who grew up on Trenwith Terrace in the 50's, 60's & 70's. After going to the London School of Economics he eventually became the chief town & country planning officer at Taunton, where he lived the rest of his life. A regular visitor to his hometown, Tom, as he was known after leaving St Ives, leaves a wife, Mauritse, three children and six grandchildren. He met his wife while working on the trampolines at Porthmeor Beach. After successfully fighting off illness five years ago, he eventually succumbed to another battle against cancer yesterday (May 17th) at 6:30pm. I am grateful to be able to inform those who remember him through this page. He was one of my dearest lifelong friends, who just last Friday was thinking of his beloved St Ives, especially 'messing around' on the rocks below Pedn Olva Hotel as a boy. Tom was 69. 49 likes 30 Comments Stephen Bassett: Sorry to hear that Alan. Paul Trevorrow: I'm so sorry to hear this news. Praying for all the family and you Alan and Lesley as I know you were close.
